Can I get a person in trouble for making false reports to the child protection agency?

For the past 5 years a person made false reports to child protection services. Can I get this person in trouble? Can I get a person in trouble for making false reports to the child protection agency?
If you can prove that the person who did the reporting KNEW they were false allegations, then yes, you can get that person into trouble. At the very least, you could sue that person for defamation and slander. But you would have to have hard evidence that they knew it was false in order to have any hope of actually winning.

As for child protection services, I doubt it. The reason I doubt it would be because its their job to investigate reports. I personally would prefer that they be actually checking those reports rather than not doing so and THAT possibly resulting in the death of a child because they were not doing their job, wouldn't you?

Talk to them to see what their policy is concerning people repeatedly filing false reports. Can I get a person in trouble for making false reports to the child protection agency?
i suppose they could get into trouble for it, but they can make the reports in most states anonymously, so it would be hard to prove. it is stupid that they do it that way cause so many people do file false reports. my sister and her downstairs neighbor got into an arguement over loud music once and two days later cps had to come out and investigate a claim of child abuse, which was false and it tied up a cps worker for a few hours while they investigated. since then she has had 3 other complaints against her which all turned out to be false once again. as hard as my sister tried, she was unable to get any cooperation from the agency in finding out who made the reports
I should jolly well hope so! Do you have any proof that the reports were false? If so you should contact the authorities straight away
NOw to answer your question yes you can get this person in trouble for false reports. And you are in your rights to report.

Therefore get hard core evidence ....without the evidence you have no case.

If this person is doing it to one particular person the evidence shouldnt be hard to track.
only if you can prove it. why would you let someone do this for 5 years if its not true?
