Shall I say Goodbye to Yahoo, Fed up with False Abuse Reports?

Hi there,





I am about to leave this service as I no longer wish to be part of a Community that will not allow Freedom of Speech.





People go on about the Democratic way things should be


and yet this Yahoo service is rife with sad morons who just act like little no brains they can't wait to report others ( I call them proffesional abuse button pushers)





Why dosen't Yahoo inspect the reports before they act on them.





In a short space of time I inserted many questions (not just ';answering'; questions to create points) some good,some not so good and have been verbally attacked by a few and praised by many but that's o.k. that's surely is what its all about.





I would never ever report anyone for abuse because I believe Freedom of Speech it used to be called ';Print or be Dammed';.


I'm sure the limp lump no brains abuse reporters cant wait to reoport this one .





I wanted to be part of a Community that allowed Freedom of Speech otherwise what is the point

yep your right mate and the sooner they get rid of the ppl that use abuse reports as a weapon the better.they are needed no doubt,but there intended use is open to abuse by immature and very feeble minded ppl to get thier own way when they disagree with someone else's opinion.yahoo needs to have another look at the way the abuse reports work .either that or investigate them properley or scrap them all together.personally i think scrapping them wouldn't be any worse than the way they work now.i think if given the chance the decent ppl here will do a better job of self regulation than yahoo are doing.
The problem is you agreed to terms of service which limited your freedom of speech. I agree with you about freedom of speech but the reality is we all signed an agreement to be here. I get violations but so what. I still say what I want.

do not know if i ever responded to one of your questions or not but your point is very true everyone has a right to freedom of speech and i personally have never turned anyone in just on that basis although i have been one to say what i thought[[freedom of speech again]but i do think it is ashamed when people get on here and get very explicit[do you look at your a**hole was one question]] knowing that there are young children that get on this site.i think as long as there are people willing to back down there will be people willing to try and stop freedom of speech.just make your points without being crude i guess as i dont know why you got turned in.
Don't let the ';numpties'; drive you away. You just have to be careful about wording to make sure it isn't mis-understood by the heretics and planks out there. You sometimes have to be meticulous sometimes to get your point across. - There, I'm in trouble as well now. :-)
friend when i first found yahoo answer, i had the same feelling, but ,i got to thinking, why should i give up, just be cause a few ,want toplay games, an too i got a few answer back for some good people here,,an i stay on, we cant stop them from, doing this, but we can do our best to help those that ask, just dont give up an hang in, it get better, an just look over the one thet, does it
i got reported for saying garlic i hate the damn stuff, so people will report anything but it hasn't stopped me answering questions with my opinion and neither should it you, just ignore the small minded people or rewrite your questions to where they don't sound offencive to any one
Do you think it is possible you are over reacting? I mean this isn't the free press, it isn't censorship of anything important. Its not as if they are covering up human rights atrocities or sending innocent people to jail or anything.





If people are emailing you, remove it from the options.





If your question doesn't get published, who gives a damn? If there is really anything you want to know, use the Internet to lock it up, or if its an opinion thing, find out more about it yourself and generate your own.





But don't confuse this essentially time wasters site for a human rights, freedom to speech, Democratic freedom of the press issue - get some perspective!
Is there going to be Ice-cream and cake at this pity party! Who cares if people report you for telling them the truth. Most of the people on her give ';its a wonderful life answer'; instead of the truth. If your being reported, that means your doing them a service. They are listening, thinking about what they heard and acting out a response. Bottom line...they listened and you did your job! Good luck!

Ah don't go..I haven't reported anyone for abuse,yet..Some people do go a bit far though...Opinions are great and everyone should be entitled but personal attacks insults shouldn't be allowed....Please stay!!!
your right it sucks i get reported as well you try to give people the info and the report on you so if they do that so much one a day is fine because it means you gave the info to the wrong kid but it sucks when you give the person the right answer and the nail you for advertising and your not your jest giveing them the imfo they need it sucks so i think it,s time to stop helpping people on q/a/

of course i dont take it personal and its no reason to leave but its everyones right to decide for its own ... maybe u think about again , whatever u decide

I agree Yahoo don't look in enough when someone reports abuse. I have been reported and emailed them back as in this instance it was the person who asked the question that used filthy language. I am no prude and I think no matter how an answer may insult or hurt someone if it is honestly what you think it should be published. However (I am not saying your answers were I haven't checked) like thousands more who use Yahoo you I don't come on this site to read pure gutter filth from sad people who don't have an extensive vocabulary and don't know better. As has been pointed out we agree to the terms and conditions of Yahoo and if we want to meet others to exchange flith there are plenty of other sites. You seem to to be genuinely interested in posting and answering questions and I don't think you should go. You say in this posting you will probably get reported for it, I certainly wouldn't report you for this but you can't categorise every person who reports abuse the way you are doing. It is a site parents feel safe and encouraged to allow their young teenagers on and if you were a parent you may not be happy giving your child access to questions/answers/fantasies of a flithy nature which are sent in by an unfortunate minority.
Just cause there's millions of them is no reason not to think that you've got those morons right where you want them. Idiots abound. I'd like to know who's the top dog of dumbbells. Where are they, and how they get on this site? Take a little rest, get some beer, enjoy some weird sex, or just go home. but don't get out, get even. Hit them where they cannot defend themselves, in the cerebral cortex. Best.
I checked you out before I answered this question. Your questions are very interesting :) Why leave if you have fun here? Who cares about the people who reported you, you don't even know them, they probably did it because your answers didn't side with them. Ignore them and keep on having fun, that's the best revenge.
Don't take it personally, yes it can be annoying when this happens i have experienced it myself many times. If for instance your account does get suspended or deleted, it is quite easy to set up a new account anyway. When there is nothing to be won at the end of it, why not use it just for the reason it should be, sheer enjoyment for yourself. Please don't go and let some moron get the better of you, all the best.

Dont go, just carry on being honest, maybe try not to be so blatant. i agree if people didnt want to hear what they dont like then they shouldn't ask. but reporting you for abuse well im not sure what you have said but maybe tone it down a tad. i know your prob thinking why should i etc, but at the end of the day no matter what society you live in , people have to conform. and this freedom of speech that i hear so often to be honest doesn't exist when its controversial. good luck

You didn't say anything offensive in that so if someone reports that Iwould be very surprised. I think the difficulty is trying to put your point across without seeming to intentionalyl wanting to offend people. I've asked some questions that I've had to be very careful about how I have said them, and equally when I have written answers I have been careful to make a point of saying that I don't want to offend anyone but that is my opinion.
Dude? Majority of these readers, are Kids! Kids under age. Kids who don't need to see ugly, ideas.
