If a minor files a false rape report what happens?

We think my boyfriends sister is claiming to have gotten raped to get out of trouble with ther parents over other things. If the cops find out she was lying, what happens?If a minor files a false rape report what happens?
You ';think'; she is lying... what evidence/proof do you have that this is the case? How do you know she is not telling the truth?





Have you spoken to your boyfriends sister? Why would she claim to have been raped? Do you know her alledged attacker? How old is the alledged victim?





You are asking people on here to comment on something REALLY serious without telling the whole story.





One way or another, there is a victim here (whether it's your boyfriends sister or the person she has accused) and to make a decision based on the answers you get on 'Yahoo answers' - without knowing the full facts - is really wrong.

The man will be labeled a child molester for life in some states like Florida he will where a tracking bracelet for life, basically he should kill himself now, however i suggest killing the girl Innocent or not kill her you'll be better off you only do about 20 years get out and you can move on with your life 15 yrs with good behavior !!! oh and for the girl nothing will happen in America we do not punish women, I remember last week in a mall a girl said she was raped and two days later when she was shown the tape of her not even being with anyone cops don't charge her with filing a false report
The person(s) accused or their family can file a law suit if they feel they were damaged in any way. That includes actual attacks on them resulting from the false accusations, loss of business, poorer performance in school, being ostracized, harassed, losing sleep, depression, anxiety, etc.

depends on what state or country you are in but normally she will be arrested and charged with wasting police time and or making a false complaint. she could also be sued for defamation or something similar.
Hopefully she wil get in serious trouble. That should not be taken lightly she couldruin somebodies life our a lie. That is sad that she is so self centered.
By then the accused will still have a record %26amp; having been on TV %26amp; in the newspapers they are permanently labeled as child mollesters weather they did it or not.
