Should a woman who makes a false rape report face the same penalties as a man convicted of rape?

This refers to a specific case in Kansas City.

I think it's bizarre that we separate 'sex crimes' from 'ordinary crimes' in general. A vicious assault that involves penetration is not 10 times worse than the same vicious assault with the penetration removed. It's strange that we have this puritanical element to our legal system where not only does sexuality seem to magnify offenses tenfold, but 'sex offenders' need to register and announce themselves, whereas if your neighbor happens to have gotten off of going on a shooting spree through his previous neighborhood on an insanity plea, well, that's his business. ';Sex crimes'; in general have always seemed bizarre to me: 'it's like an ordinary crime, but there are naughty bits involved. Horrors!'

That said, no. Falsely accusing someone of something is not the same sort of crime as the violent assaults that characterize rape (actual rape, not the modern feminist kind that basically equates to bad sex) - it's actually the responsibility of jurors to actually take 'innocent until proven guilty' seriously so that we don't have to impose serious penalties on people who file accusations which may be false or which may simply be unprovable.Should a woman who makes a false rape report face the same penalties as a man convicted of rape?
This person makes it even HARDER for a true victim. It already has the blame the victim syndrome,';she asked for it'; by dressing, or acting in this or that way. Now pukes like this stage false reports, she should be dealt with as severely of a punishment as a victim and their families %26amp; loved ones, who spends the rest of their lives suffering because of this crime. Because a woman who is a true victim of a sex crime will suffer not 30 minutes or seconds but her entire life is ruined and those around her as well. THAT is what should bestow this phoney, because she may have already caused ONE person to fear coming forward.
Nope. Should a man who makes a false murder report face the same penalties as a man convicted of murder? People who lie about violent crimes can be charged with perjury.

Should a man who makes a false child molestation report face the same penalties as a man convicted of child molestation? Hmmm, no.
Yes. It should be this way for falsely reporting any crime.

I say this even though making a malicious false allegation of rape is far worse than committing an actual rape. As somebody else says a 30 minute assault (if that) does not compare to losing 10 years of the only life you'll ever have plus the stigma of being a convicted rapist.
Didn't watch the videos, but I'll answer the best I can.

I say yes, a woman who falsely accuses someone of raping her should face the same penalties as a real rapist would. She is essentially ';raping'; the man's reputation. He will never completely recover from it, so she deserves to be punished.
The penalties should be pretty severe, as in a felony. Her employer must had had a very good lawyer to save him from her accusations. Imagine if you were black, or just an ordinary male with no power?

As I stated in another thread, if employers hired majority men, they wouldn't have this problem. He probably spent thousands in court fees to vindicate himself.
YES. that'll teach them a lesson. I wonder why other people find it easy to cry rape as if it's just a trivial matter. they obviously have no idea what it feels like to actually be in the situation and deal with the trauma that real rape victims face. if this absurdity continues, the time will come where anyone who cries rape will be treated like the boy who cried wolf.
She should face harsher penalties. I mean, rape is simply subjecting some lady to 30 minutes of discomfort, wahh wahh boo hoo get over it, whereas a false rape report is ROBBING AN INNOCENT MAN OF YEARS OFF HIS LIFE which he will never get back.... a far worse crime in my opinion.
She should be charged with attempted extortion, filing a false police report, defamation, perjury, and get five years for each.
It is now a crime to file false reports and the woman should face the same penalties.
No, she should receive HARSHER punishment than a man who is accused of rape would receive.
No, but she should receive the same treatment as any other perjurer.
She belongs in an institution.
Yes she should.

*Oprah* nice straw man argument
FEMINISTS would all say NO
Yes, and she should have to serve her time in a MEN'S prison.
No they should not.
Yes
yes it should.
Actually raping someone is worse.

Murdering someone is worse then rape.

Murdering and raping someone is worse.

Accusing someone of rape is not as big as a crime to me. It's bad but not worse. It's fraud

sorry.
No, NOT the same penalties. The two crimes are far from equal. She should get whatever criminal punishment exists for false arrests, and she would deserve a defamation suit as well.
No. False reporting sounds more like fraud, not a sex offense.
