These people keep making false police reports and prank calling me, what can i do, and what can happen to them?

i called the police about the phone calls after about 3 hundred of them (seriously i could not use the phone) so they called the police and said i was a drug dealer and had a meth lab and i was a drug dealer (bull)...the calls stopped for a day and then the calls started again, then today they made a false claim of a demestic dispute. all and all i would say well over 1000 calls now. i have told the police about all this, but it is still going on,, what else can i do??These people keep making false police reports and prank calling me, what can i do, and what can happen to them?
Do everything you can on this situation.





Gather evidence, request phone logs from your phone company/gather phone bills, get statements and witnesses about the phone calls.





Use a Reverse Phone Look-up website, cost ya 5-10 bucks for a full report, copy it, print it out, etc etc.





Get everything you possibly can, and then call the police and request a police officer to contact you about the ';Harassment'; situation. At this point, they have to by law come to contact you. File a report about the situation with the Police Department, so it's on file. If it continues, let the Police know, and they'll update the report.





If it continues, you know who it is at this point after gathering evidence. Take them to civil court.These people keep making false police reports and prank calling me, what can i do, and what can happen to them?
To stop the calls (prank) get your number changed and have it unlisted and give your new phone number to only the people that you know and trust.





As for them making a false police report can lead to fine and depending on the nature of the police (false) it can also lead to jail time the maximum is about arranging from 30 days to 90 days depending the severity of the false charges.

second, change your phone number





third, start screening calls, have a machine answer all calls telling the incoming caller that ALL CALLS are recorded (this can really help, because recording calls are okay in all states if everyone knows that they are recorded)





other than that, call a lawyer.
Block the number so they couldnt call you again. (Wouldn't stop them from using other phones) Or file a harrasement suit. The police can track the phonecalls, and punish as they see fit.
have the phone company trace the calls and tell them you are being harrassed
