What can be done about a police officer filing a false report?

there's been complaints made to his superiors,but nothing is happening. There's lies,missing information,etc.What can be done about a police officer filing a false report?
'; I have one that proves it,he did NOT just go by what he was told, he assumed the lies were true.';

That's not a false report. That's exactly what jak explained to you. We document information is reported to us. Unless we find information to the contrary is assumed to be truthful. You're the one who says it's a lie. Obviously, there's other information that showed otherwise.

In fact, who's to say that you're not lying? Funny how that works isn't it?What can be done about a police officer filing a false report?
the police report,states the lies on it,from the accuser,it also states the officer took property from my residence while we were away,it also doesn't state all the facts.Or that him and my uncle entered my property. I wish I could contact someone on here,from Iosco county, they might understand.

Report Abuse

IF the officer is intentionally lying (as opposed to reporting the lies that have been told to him) and you can PROVE it, sue his ***. you'll get a lot of money and feel much better.

Other than that, absolutely nothing except for file a complaint.
You need to go to the Mayors office, The mayor is an elected official that the police department answers to. if nothing there then you NEED to call your state representative. this is their job, DO it immediately....
Filing a false report is an accusation that can be made through an attorney. If the officer testifies then a perjury charge can be attached as well, if it is proven as truth.
Police officers don't file false reports, people file false reports WITH police officers. We just report what we're told, and a good 90% of what we're told is false.

Just because you don't agree with something doesn't make it a lie.
Contact the Department of Internal Affairs at the appropriate police department.
You mean to say that cops actually ever file truthful ones?
count yourdelf lucky. you could have ended up handcuffed lying on the ground while being shot in the back.
Welcome to the American justice system!
