What is the penalty for filing a false abuse report on Yahoo Answers?

I'm new here, and just rec'd an abuse report that is absolutely false. Somebody apparently didn't like my answer because they didn't agree with it.

filing a report that is false


can be serious because


it is quite possible you


could have your account


suspended.





When you do a report on someone


be sure you have the facts, like what time it happened


who did the abuse, what was said, Yahoo will investigate


remove the question possibly do suspensions.
I know of no case where false abuse reports have been made that Yahoo has done anything about it. I don't think they ever look at them, just throw them away. In a nutshell, Yahoo's employees violate their own community guidelines.





So go ahead and protest the false report, but don't expect Yahoo to do anything. Kind of makes you wonder about the quality of Yahoo in general.
From what I've heard, you could still get suspended, even if it's false. Apparently Yahoo doesn't check very well.
They probably won't do anything about it at all...
