Does anyone know of any false news reports or anything regarding economics?

I need to write three different papers all questioning something that was said about macroeconomics that isn't necessarily true. For example, like in the news, they often leave things out to benefit themselves. I hope this makes sense! Ha.

Does anyone have any ideas of what I could write about? I'm struggling to come up with anything let alone three different topics.Does anyone know of any false news reports or anything regarding economics?
';The government created N jobs';. Well, sure, but since government can only spend what they take from the private sector, they're not accounting for the N number of jobs that the private sector could not create because government took the resources to do so.

';Government spending 'stimulates' the economy.'; Same problem. Unless what the government spends is more economically productive than what the private sector would have done with that money, this cannot mathematically be true. It's like taking money from an account earning 2% interest and putting it into one earning 1% interest and saying you're better off.

';The President is responsible for the recession (or recovery).'; We have had 21 recessions and 19 presidents in the last century. What are the odds that recessions are caused or cured by presidential action? Besides that, the president has almost no power to do anything. That power resides with the Federal Reserve or the Congress.

';Medicare is more efficient than private medical insurers.'; Only if your measure is administrative costs as a percent of claim value. But since Medicare claims per claimant are higher than those under 65, this is a silly measure. It is like saying that company A that insures Mercedes cars is more efficient at claims processing than company B that insures Fords.
